Friday is a full school day with an assembly...

Each partner does the following: (work is done independently, only presented together at school)

Write up a detailed re-telling of your chapter

Offer two opinions about what the characters do or say in your chapter

Offer an opinion about the author's writing -

1) Writing technique with an example - i.e. cliffhanger ending / use of adjectives-adverbs / elements of surprise / humour
2) Author's decisions about the storyline - explain one change you would make if you

List events you want to include on your board game. They come from your individual chapter responses and should be itemized by chapter on this sheet. They could be labelled P for positive and N for negative. There should be several "actual" events from each chapter and one or two more general events of your design as you continue to fill out this sheet.

Camp X Trivia Cards - f

For your trivia cards make up at least 10 questions from the novel that feature more trivial details of the book...i.e. "What did the Brauns do with their farmland when they moved to Whitby?" Make a separate sheet of paper for these "trivia" questions.
